Windermere PTO Parent Survey 2016

Please take a few minutes to complete a brief (I promise) survey about your Windermere PTO. Tell us what you like, what you don't like, and what you'd like to see. Keep in mind that no one is getting paid around here, so please be kind!

Please complete your survey by Friday, May 20th. Thank you for your time and feedback!

Walking Wednesday     April 6, 13, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18

Walking Wednesday

Change Your Way. Walk UA!

Why walk?
• Physical activity
• Teach safe walking skills to children
• Awareness of how walkable our community is and where improvements can be made
• Concern for the environment
• Reducing traffic congestion, pollution and speed near schools
• Sharing time with community parents and children

How do I participate in Walking Wednesdays?

You can meet at one of the four designated locations (on the back of this flyer) at the specified time, or join a group en route, or walk to school with your family. Or hop on your bike or scooter!

Bus rider? No problem! Have a parent take you to one of the four route starting points.

Our parent captains will escort you and your classmates safely to Windermere.

The KidFest Hoe Down!

The KidFest is one of the largest events that PTO puts on for the Windermere Elementary Community. It requires many volunteers for it to run smoothly, so we thank you for your help. Furthermore, you might not be aware of some important volunteers behind the scenes like Brook Braunstein and Ryan Montgomery who organized the KidFest t-shirts that were new this year to the event. Jenny Dingle organized the Cake Contest, Heather Petzinger organized the volunteers, Jen Boothby organized the food, Brooks Whitcomb organized the Grade Level Basket Raffle, Liz Arnold organized the Corporate Sponsors & Entertainment, and Stori Rex organized the Life Care Alliance. The chair of KidFest this year was, Kristi Stummer who has added her creativeness with the new theme 'The Hawks Hoe Down'. Please show your appreciation by thanking these individuals for providing such a knee slapping time!

The Successful Scholastic Book Fair!

Thanks to Kathy Swart and Teresa Harper for providing another successful Scholastic Book Fair which the students look forward to every year. We appreciate all the volunteers that lend a helping hand during the open hours of lunch, after school, and even KidFest. It warms our hearts to see our kids get so excited about books. Keep calm and read on!
